GDPR · Art. 13
Last updated: 27-07-2026
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Bertrand Mezatio, Ernst-Thälmann-Platz 21, Wustermark, Germany —
bertrand@cad-dfm-check.com
Depending on how you interact with this site, we collect the following:
| Data | Purpose | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Name | To identify you and personalize our reply | Yes |
| Email address | To respond to your inquiry or confirm a booking | Yes |
| Message | To understand your request (contact form) | Yes, for contact form |
| CAD file(s) | To review your design and provide DFM/DFA feedback | Yes, if you request a review |
| Selected appointment time | To schedule a call via Calendly | Yes, if you book a call |
We only collect what you submit through the contact form or the Calendly booking widget. We do not request payment or account information through this site.
Processing of your contact form submission (including any CAD files) and of any call booked via Calendly is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract — since you are contacting us to request a service or schedule a consultation. Where analytics cookies are used (see section 4), processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the cookie consent banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future.
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; data may be processed by Google LLC, USA). Google Analytics uses cookies to help analyze how visitors use the site (e.g. pages visited, time on site, general location, device type).
Google Analytics only loads and sets cookies after you give consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the site footer, or by adjusting your browser/device settings to block cookies.
Data transferred to Google LLC (USA) relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a safeguard for transfers outside the EU/EEA. For details on Google's own processing, see Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
When you submit the contact form, your name, email, message, and any attached CAD file are received and stored by Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc., San Francisco, USA), the form-handling feature built into our hosting provider. Submissions are visible in our Netlify dashboard.
To notify us of new submissions and trigger an automatic confirmation email back to you, form data is also forwarded via Make.com (Celonis SE / Make s.r.o.), an automation platform that connects the form submission to our email system. Make only processes the data needed to send that notification and confirmation — it is not used for marketing or shared further.
Our business email (bertrand@cad-dfm-check.com) is hosted by Zoho Mail (Zoho Corporation). Any email you send us directly, and any notification or confirmation email triggered by the contact form, is delivered to and stored in this mailbox. Zoho does not scan email content for advertising purposes. See Zoho's privacy policy at zoho.com/privacy.html for details.
If you book a call using our Calendly link, Calendly (Calendly, LLC, USA) collects the information you provide in the booking form — typically your name, email address, and selected appointment time — to schedule and confirm the meeting. Calendly may set cookies to support this functionality.
Our Calendly account is connected to Google Calendar to check availability and create the calendar event. This means your name, email, and appointment details are also written to a Google Calendar event associated with our account. Google processes this data as part of standard calendar functionality.
For details on how Calendly and Google handle your data, see Calendly's privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy and Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
CAD files and technical information you submit are treated as confidential and used solely to provide the requested DFM/DFA review. They are not shared with third parties beyond those listed in section 8, are not used for any purpose other than your review, and are deleted once the engagement is complete unless you request otherwise or a longer retention is needed for follow-up work.
Contact form submissions, including messages and CAD files, are received and stored via Netlify Forms, and forwarded through Make.com to trigger notifications and confirmation emails, which are delivered to our Zoho Mail-hosted inbox (see section 5). Call bookings are processed by Calendly and synced to Google Calendar (see section 6). Website analytics data is processed by Google (see section 4). We do not sell your data or share it with any other third party beyond what's described in this policy.
Contact form data and CAD files are kept for the duration of the inquiry or engagement, and for a maximum of 24 months afterward for record-keeping and follow-up purposes, unless you request earlier deletion. Calendly booking data and the associated Google Calendar event are kept for as long as needed to manage the appointment, and are generally removed after the appointment has passed unless follow-up is required. Analytics data retention follows Google Analytics' default retention settings.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email bertrand@cad-dfm-check.com. Our lead supervisory authority is:
Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg (LDA Brandenburg),
Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany.
We don't use automated decision-making or profiling based on the data you submit. The Make.com automation referenced in section 5 only routes your submission to trigger a notification and confirmation email — it does not make any decisions about you.
This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). As part of ordinary web hosting, Netlify's servers automatically process standard technical logs for every request — such as IP address, browser/user-agent string, requested URL, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and uptime purposes. These logs are handled by Netlify as a processor, not shared with third parties for marketing, and are subject to Netlify's own GDPR/CCPA commitments and data processing agreement. Because Netlify is a US company, hosting-related data may be processed outside the EU/EEA; Netlify relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for this. See Netlify's own privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy for full details.
